How It Works

• Book Your Appointment:
  • Schedule an appointment at the appropriate Embassy, Consulate General, or Honorary Consul’s office.
• Prepare Your Documents:
  • Use our detailed checklist to gather all required documents.
• Attend Your Appointment:
  • Present yourself in person for identification, biometric data capture, and document verification.
• Processing & Delivery:
  • Your application is processed by the relevant authorities. Once approved, your new passport or ID card is sent to you by courier.
• Ongoing Support:
  • We provide continuous support and updates throughout the process.

Documents Required

• • • Previous passport and/or identity card (eID), even if expired
    • Completed application form for passport and/or eID
    • Application to activate e-certificates (for eID)
    • Application to declare UK residence (if applicable)
    • Statement of loss/theft/destruction (if applicable)

Important Note:
The application forms are in Latvian. Applicants who are not proficient in Latvian must bring a person who can assist in verifying the accuracy of the form.

• • • The service is for Latvian citizens or non-citizens who have declared permanent residence in the UK.
    • Both passport and eID applications must be submitted in person.
    • From age 15, an identity card (eID) is mandatory when applying for a passport.
    • Only card payments are accepted. If paying with someone else’s card, the cardholder must be present with valid ID.
    • Consular fees include postage to your UK address.
    • Processing time may take up to 6 weeks. Express processing is available for an additional fee.
